What’s the difference between direct thermal and thermal transfer?

Direct thermal is a thermosensitive paper that reacts to heat to create the print, and is suitable for general purpose barcode labelling, industrial tracking, and logistics and warehouse applications.

Thermal transfer is a matt coated paper designed for high quality thermal transfer applications, and is suitable for use in logistics, and identifications and tracking applications in office, hospital, and retail environments.

What core size do I need?

Labels provided on a 25mm core will fit in most desktop printers, and labels on a 76mm core will fit most midrange and industrial printers.
